Henry and Alfredo Castano, the producer, met back in 2018 and over the past 3 years have been looking to improve the quality and output of the Tatama Co-op moving away from commodity market coffee, towards speciality coffee. Alfredo is responsible of the running and maintenance of the farm, although originally they are 4 brothers. Right now, only 2 are currently working in the farm which has 2.5 hectares of coffee cultivated. This supposes about 10700 coffee trees, which are mainly Castillo Rosario, but also has small areas with Gesha trees. The farm is on the edge of the Tatama Natural Park.
