Halo Bariti village sits at 2,150 meters above sea level. Here, coffee producer Niguse Dima Jilo inherited his family farm, and has remained committed to cultivating specialty coffee there. He uses the money to help support his ten children – seven sons and three daughters.

Niguse cultivates the Kurume variety exclusively. It is one of Ethiopia’s many landrace varietals, and is commonly grown by farmers in the Guji & Gedeo Zone. It is a relatively low-yielding cultivar, but highly renowned for its cup quality.
This coffee has undergone classic natural processing, so expect rich sweetness & a lingering aftertaste. The fruity & floral cup profile are well suited to filter brewing methods – we suggest AeroPress & V60. We also recommend resting the coffee for a week or two after roasting in order to enjoy peak flavour in your brews.
